Two weeks from today I will be on a plane flying back home. In 14 days I will be able to hug my family again for the first time since January. I will have to say good bye to the amazing people I've met here. I will have so many memories to share and I'll have to figure out how to live in America again.
Yeah, talk about mixed emotions and the feeling of "is this ever going to sink in?"
But, I'm jumping ahead of myself aren't I? Two weeks is two weeks, and here's what's going on.
Last week, and for the rest of my stay, there have been two other students here participating in the Chez Vous summer program. They have classes with an American professor here, go on excursions, and have to speak in French from after worship in the morning until dessert at supper. As a semester student, I do not have to attend the classes, although sometimes I do while studying just to hear it, nor do I have to go on the excursions--but who would pass up those if given the choice? However, I do go to the worship sessions and have read and prayed as well as played piano for those sessions. I also have to speak French all day. It's quite interesting, but definitely good for me.
Today Jessie returns from the States today, so on Wednesday we get to head to Paris for three days!
Next week our four exams will take place, and then voila! Nous avons fini!
Have I mentioned how bittersweet leaving/returning is going to be?
