For as long as I can remember I've wanted to be a teacher. When I started taking French my sophomore year of high school I fell in love with the language and decided I would try my best to become fluent.
At Asbury, I'm one of two French majors. It's my plan to learn the language and culture of the French people and then teach from my experiences. Also, because of Asbury's cross-cultural requirement, I needed to get out of the country at some point, so why not learn francais en France?
Chez Vous (Your House) is an institute that has partnered with Asbury for years. Students get to go to Normandy and experience an instant French life. We get to live in a little village called Franceville and attend the Universite de Caen while exploring France, meeting and working with the people, and trying our best to speak their language.
I really couldn't be more excited.
